The Weissensee Nature Park
A nature park is not an untouched wilderness.
It is a cultivated landscape – shaped by the mindful coexistence of people and nature.
This is exactly what you feel at Lake Weissensee. Here, it is not only about protecting nature, but about consciously preserving it and making it accessible. Clear guidelines, gentle mobility and a respectful use of resources create a place that has retained its original character.
Two thirds of the lake’s shoreline remain untouched to this day. There are no motorboats. Many paths have deliberately been left as they have always been.
An important part of this balance are the nature park rangers. They guide guests through forests and meadows, share insights that often go unnoticed, and reveal the richness and value of the natural surroundings. With their knowledge, they make tangible what defines this place – quietly, attentively, and with a deep sense for what truly matters.
A nature park is not a coincidence.
It is a conscious decision.
